MCHS Goals

To achieve the mission the faculty and administration of Montgomery Co.  High School will work collaboratively to:

Goal 1: Improve Student Achievement

Goal 2: Develop a viable curriculum for each course with power standards and assess all students by those standards.

Goal 3: Become a 21st Century Learning Environment

Attendance Matters!

MSIP 5:  The state department has a new grading system for school attendance. The basic language of the new policy is '90% of the students will have a 90% or better attendance rate. Two years ago, our high school percentage was 86.7% and last year it was 89.7%. We have a very positive trend and look to improve on this again this year. Our goal will be to have 90% or greater of  our students attending 90% of the time.

Four Essential Questions Regarding Student Learning

  1. How will we know when they have learned it?
  2. What will we do when students are not learning or being successful?
  3. What do we want our students to know and be able to do?
  4. What will we do when students already know the material and are being highly successful?
